Is this meant to be in the digital art section? Coz it looks like the same technique as all your other works and they're all in traditional....

But regardless of that, it's a great piece! I love those reflections.

Lovely work! I missed the Balloon Fiesta this year, even though I was in Albuquerque. Unless you speak of a different Weekly Alibi?

I can imagine it now:
Wife: This sure as hell wasn't in the brochure!
Husband: Dum dee dum dee dum...

LOVE the surrealist element as well, reminds me a little of Magritte, where you look once but then do a double take because you're not sure of what you saw the first time. The angle is a very comfortable one too, I like how you can get a good view of the ballons and a sense of perplexity from the boaters. I think it's very clever how the more unclear the outline of the balloons, the deeper they assumingly are.
The ripple at the front is a tiny thing but really, apart from that...*MEGA THUMBS UP*...keep on trucking! :eager:

you are definately among my favourite artists here on deviantart!
if i just maaaay.. have oooone small thing to say.. the ripple effects are superb, but they start before the boat has passed the water, hence making the water surface look more like the folding of cloth.. which is really cool.. if thats what you are going for..

Beautiful as usual. I love how the man seems content and the girl is just like "Oh, pretty... can you continue rowing now?"

Beautiful! I love the motion in the water--one can tell that he's just stopped rowing to look at the balloons, and the boat is being carried by its momentum. I had to look very closely to tell that it wasn't a traditional painting; the brush strokes are so real.
